Key Account Manager Data Center Intelligence (m/f/d)

for the region of United Kingdom

Objectives for the position:

  • Responsible for the care and expansion of the customer base in UK and Ireland
  • Plan and implement a sales strategy that expands company’s existing customer licensing and targets new customer for the Data Center Intelligence (DCI) products and solutions
  • Create pipeline through prospecting activities, ensuring a balanced pipeline of multiple opportunities against quarterly and annual growth targets
  • Present sales, revenue reports and realistic forecasts as well as account analyses to the management team
  • Obtain revenue according to plan

Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Secure existing business renewals for DCI customers in the region
  • Follow growth opportunities within existing customer base
  • Strategically navigate and influence stakeholders in the buying process including users, influencers and budget decision makers
  • Design and deliver powerful product demos and technical presentations to prospective customers that land relevant value drivers and align to customer pain points and desired outcomes
  • Develop deep insights regarding customer use cases, internal decision making nuances, budget cycles and other key information necessary to close the sale
  • Responsible for handling sales projects within existing customer base
  • Establishing and cooperation for strategic sales alliances with international opportunities
  • Achievement or overachievement of revenue goals (license, maintenance and services)
  • Plan and conduct activities to grow the revenue at existing customers
  • Secure new customers
  • Plan and conduct personal marketing activities and coordinate with marketing to leverage marketing qualified leads
  • Regular and reliable forecast and reporting of market data and competitor situation in the region
  • Complete and up-to-date documentation of all sales activities in the CRM system
  • Close cooperation with the international sales team, the headquarters and other team functions (marketing, presales, professional service etc.)

Education, Work Experience and Personal Qualities

  • University degree in information technology, engineering, business administration or similar qualification
  • Background with proven sales achievements
  • More than 5 years’ experience in IT / Software- sales B2B, experience with mainframe as well as more than 3 years in partner management being desirable
  • Familiarity with large IT data center
  • Strong presentation skills are required, more sales than technical skills
  • Able to use both in-person and online skills to secure and conduct professional meetings
  • Experience with common CRM tools
